Yeah it got messy, 80+ alpha dire whale through, so could have been worse.
End score wasn't a one sided stomp with AFKs either so GG.
As always there was one more mech I narrowly missed a kill shot on...

What I really found interesting though was how you managed your firing groups, especially looking like you quickly toggle chain fire on and off as needed.
Also think that you should get extra points for doing it in a Direwhale that is I am guessing your own build (ie I haven't seen it before or know anyone that runs it). Perhaps fair to say off meta original build or did you get it from someone you know?

More assists is better than getting 9 kills?

Edit: Oh, the war crimes But still.... 9 kills.

You may find this answer silly, but PGI actually gives you more points for assists than you get for kills. Think they did it to promote team work so maybe not a bad thing? On top of that you may have gotten a bunch of scouting or lance in formation points where he didn't. Did you happen to have a UAV on that mech? That may have done it too.

Nah, I use quad ERPPC on that Bludgeon. So, it's just cool shots and an arti-strike. But yeah, during those 500MS challenges, I found that getting something like 9 assists, a kill and some KMDD along with 850'ish damage would be enough to cross that threshold.
Just imagine if we had to get 8 kills and 900 damage in a match to ensure 500MS

Nearly all my favourite builds were evolved out of my own experiments, I've been running this for a while. PGI even buffed it a couple patches ago. A welcome surprise for me, I don't know how many others keep a So8 PRIME around.
Its still a Direwhale though and can be pretty torturous to play in QP. For every match where your team is working next to you, there's about five where they all swap positions with the enemy, and you'll be serving them as a bullet sponge for about two seconds.

Ehh. I stopped looking at the scoring a long time ago. If you could get 12 headshots, and turn a pending 0-11 loss into a win, the scoring system would probably still give you less than what a LRM boat gets on a typical Polar match.

It's a solid looking build. To me it made the video better than if you had posted nine kills in a vanilla dakkacat. On top of that the management of you groups was something I had not seen before which I thought was cool and am going to try. For me this means changing the default location of chainfire toggle.
And yeah you get the extra points in a whale. I like myself too much to put myself through that so hats off.
Side note, I've run and chased lights off you before (I use a couple different accts in quick play neither of them this one) and you've always said thanks (via wheel or comms). I like killing lights though, and I am a bit over aggressive at times so guarding fatties is one way I preoccupy myself before I get to the front.
