I really like Heavy PPCs. I didn't think I would, but it turns out they're a nice analog for an AC10/LB10x, Gauss, or AC20/UAC20 on many chassis with a separate energy-only variant.

Sprinkle super heat-efficient small lasers in to cover the close range defense, and just give 'em a hot blue splooshin' to the chest and noggin.
