[Ahh Screw it - WATCH THIS]

When fighting with MEDIUM or smaller lasers - turn it off.

When using gauss rifles at 150 meters - turn it off.

This is not all, but try mastering these items and we will proceed from there.

But it helps de aim at that rock I thought was a locust at 1000m. Nothing worse than spectating an uber sniper who isn't using adv zoom. Maybe they wanted to get the cockpit pixel of a light mech's head while it humps their mech's leg because they heard there are head shots in the game.

Also, zoom out and look at what you're doing once in a while, at least. Have seen several people open up on their own teammates, because the UI doesn't work properly in advanced zoom.

Not when you're using advanced zoom at 200m. The target markers are outside of the zoom box, but also blocked by it.

i never use it myself. normal zoom is more than enough to get 1km kills with my ultraviolet.

I only use it on my Gauss-Urbie, and ERLL-builds like 4x ERLL Hell-bringer.

If you have to ask why the gauss-urbie, is that it's a lot safer at a distance to have paper-thin armor, than an ac20 upclose with paper-thin armor.

What's even better is most of dudes I see doing it must have their in game sensitivity turned all the up to 1, and run 2800dpi.

Endless source of entertainment spectating in this game.

Everyone knows only the truly elite players use Adv Zoom full time. I'd like a toggle in the Options to drop with Adv Zoom enabled by default.

It doesn't matter if you are zoomed or not, what matters if you are hitting or not. And if you can't tell when you are missing while zoomed, you won't be able to when you aren't either.
