[Armored Yokai]

I know there's a chance that this is a pipe dream and PGI probably wont have the first closed beta release available for us to play, but I have this small glimmer of hope that PGI does in fact have the CB and will allow for the players to try it out on the PTS.

I am talking about Mechwarrior Online's Closed Beta.

Topic made in hopes of PGI still possessing the first closed beta build of MWO and will allow players to try it on the Public Test Server and see how much MWO has changed from 2012 .

I think he means the very early versions of MWO back when we had like three maps and only 2 mechs in each weight class.

Honestly that would be pretty fun to see if the rose tinted glasses are as tinted as we remember or not.

A closed beta pts would be fun. Only atlas,hbk,jenners and cats in assault mode. No modules,strikes,ecms,clans or clan tech. Jenners would go back to being fun instead of free-super-easy-kill light mech. Done on the "classic" original maps those who memorized the grids and know the counter grids would have a fun time.

Battles over h 10. The tunnel fights. Ramps of meat grinders.

Prefer not to. If they aren't going to develop in this game I'd be hella pissed if they spent money on hosting a version even more beta than this.

I can understand that and how you would want PGI to spend time to make this game actually work instead of using band-aids and mech packs to seal the bleeding wounds and I agree with you to some extent. Though if MWO had allowed people to play the first build, I'm sure some people will be asking for CB functions in the main release. Like better jump jets maybe?

If the CB build is actually released, I am sure multiple players will also ask for some of those functions in MW5 and This might increase the player base for a small amount of time.

Nope.

As we learned from Paul when we asked en masse to revert the last big CW patch, PGI doesn't do version control, then he muttered something about backend issues with the server and at that point my eyes rolled so far back into my skull, between that and hysterical laughter I lost consciousness....
