Before my time. Only been here a year. I appreciate there was some quality salt prior to my arrival- I believe skill tree was rather contentious for example. All in all, things are pretty tame in the BT/MW fanbase generally though.

One thing I will say compared to other games I've played- MWO players seem to use a lot more words to express their level of bitterness.

Mwo forums have always been pretty salty, but it has been worse than this. I think that is because there's nothing we can do about it. The deal has already gone through, Epic owns MW5 for a year no matter what we say.

As for events, I think even PGI realizes it's a good time to keep their heads down.

The "heat spike" he is referring to went live in Dec 2018 patch... When a ST of a cXL/LFE is destroyed, the capacity loss is being removed from the top of the Heat Bar instead of the bottom. Patch notes below.. it was not that long ago, ony 8 months
