Hey PGI,

I've got a suggestion to drive some additional MC sales (and probably cash for your end of year reports)...Why don't you add an attribute to allow us to add a 30% CB bonus to ANY mech in our stable? Or, you've already got the MC hanging item, create a 30% or 40% CBill item that we can buy for 1000MC? Or 2000MC? Or whatever. You could also create a hanging item that enables a 30% increase in XP. Lord knows the XP award is pathetic, so give us a chance to goose it on mechs we're actively playing. That would help us all, make it stack with premium time, or even multiplicative to make it even more advantageous! Skilling mechs isn't pay to win, and more c-bills isn't pay to win, they're straight accelerators which are well within the realm of an Free2play concept. Get this **** done for Christmas and offer a bundle with any new mech bundle purchase! Highlight these items for new players during cadet timeframe to relax the slope on the learning curve.

There's plenty of enthusiasm for the game despite the fact that you're taking money from the same company that forced Blizzard to censor all western values on free speech to benefit communist China in their horrific oppression of their citizens. Hell, you need to figure out how to sleep at night on that one, not us.

Regards,
Caldek

No, it could be additive to hero's if player's decided to deploy it on them. make it a none transferable booster if it's a problem. There's nothing wrong with Hero's or Champions as they are. This proposal gives all of us the option to turn our favorite mechs into Heros or Champions. Why would that be a bad thing? They are already in the game. In may cases they are the strongest variant of their chassis. In some cases they are quite weak. This proposal would give us a chance to opti our favorite variant for the Hero of that mech. It doesn't seem to be an impact on playability, it just increases the incentive to play that mech. I don't see a downside.

Rgds,
Caldek.

Edit...Or if additive of hero + proposal is to much boost (which it might be, 60% Cbill/xp is a lot) make it so it can't be deployed on special mechs. Regardless, giving the player base the chance to spend money on a permanent booster for their favorite mech seems like a win-win. Turning your favorite mech into your personal hero mech seems like a good idea to me.

A global boost to XP and CBills? It already exists. It's called Premium Time.

Heroes still get unique hardpoints, quirks, and camo.

Champs still get more XP...but admittedly most people probably don't care about that.

Really, there's no issue here. If the cost to "hero-ize" a mech was identical to the MC cost of the corresponding hero mech then the number of MC sales being made would, at worst, be unchanged. Arguably a lot more people might choose to give boosters to their normie mechs than the number who buy heroes because a lot of heroes have wonky hardpoint/quirk layouts.

For the most part, 'unique' is a polite way of saying inferior.

Well, at least they're different even if in a crappy way. Champs and collectors are just plain pointless because they're the same as a spacebucks variant.

this idea was suggested many times back when pgi was still providing the illusion of developing the game.
