A chargeback is when you go to your bank and tell them to reverse a prior charge (in this case reversing the payment for the pre-order).
Most probably your bank details are not not directly linked to your MWO/5 account. So if you initiate a charge back they have to manually alter your accounts. You could also get caught in an automatic blacklist for future transactions.

Thanks for that clear up. Wondered about the same thing.
Also I guess its just to refund since I wont use Epic store, right? I doubt my pre-order key will be even handed out or be valid in a year on Steam?

How do I request the refund? Do I send email or is there a web form to fill?
