This was one aspect i was really looking forward too, Is this no longer or is this pushed till further down the road?

I just wanna also add, If i wanna wait can i just get my steam key when it launches on steam? Epic store has zero exclusives that i can see coming in the years, not to mention that i typically wait a year for new games anyway so that really never effects me anyway. just seams like a total waste to get another launcher for a single game a single game, i'd just rather wait.

I was reading that the only way i can get a refund is through pay-pal, and i don't even have a pay-pal account, So it seams like either way i have to make new accounts on things i don't even use? I did just check my purchase date and it says Feb 27th, Does this fall under the 6 mo, that i can get a return on my CC?

Is waiting for a Steam key an option? I'd much rather just wait than bother with a refund.

Is steam workshop coming eventually?

I have a theory- the epic exclusive was done to create more traffic on the MWO forum. Salty traffic, but traffic nonetheless.

You don't need the Steam Workshop to do modding though if that's what you're asking. I'm sure a community on Nexus will eventually show up or other places. As others have mentioned though its exclusive for 1 year, so Steam Workshop will be available December 2020, assuming PGI isn't going to lie/change their minds again.

I know you don't "need" steam workshop for modding, but it does make it easier as the game has built in mod support, which is different than actually modding a game like Battletech.

But If the game does come to steam, will they be spending the extra time on adding that and those tools/function. It is something that needs to be added to the game, and with the game on epic does that mean this function will be dropped if the game does end up on steam?

My other question that i have seen nothing on, is Can we just keep our pre-order and wait a year and get a Steam code? To me that is the bigger question.

i like games where the only tool you need for modding is notepad.

Game is still moddable.

You're going to have to download the tools yourself, your mod won't get a free CMS and forums, and there won't be a front end for loading mods.

Dunno but Living Legends is still a thing, so I assume there are people interested in making Mechwarrior mods/games. I am myself, and will definitely be playing around with it when it comes out.

While not all of the mod developing is done by the Roguetech group, they were to be a big part of it. They have now collectively (or so they say) pulled their support of MW5. I don't expect there to be any mod support when it hits EPIC. A year later we might see a trickle.
