I'm not surprised, if anything I kinda called it.
That being said, lol, just lol. Just when I thought they couldn't disappoint the fan-base more, then they pull this ****.
No, just **** no. I ain't supporting that deluded megalomaniac of a company. I'd stand for MWO portal, not EPIC-FAIL.
I guess MW5 releases next year September then.

Buying any unreal engine game is supporting epic.

Well, buying anything would be indirectly supporting anything. Money runs the world. **** man, I love A Hat In Time.
When I say "support", as In i won't actively support something directly, as in not participate at the side of Epic in the game-store debacle. UE4 is ingrained on a lot of things, what do you want me to do, not play games? That's just as much as useful as Vegan people just abstaining from meat, thinking that it helps.

No I don't. I'd be supporting the people who actually developed the game.
While also directly supporting Epic, who get royalties.
It sucks, but there it is. Thankfully, not every new game is on UE. Ubisoft no longer uses UE, EA generally doesn't use UE, Bungie doesn't use UE, and Bethesda does not use UE.Lots of choices.

Yep, while the Unreal Engine is solid in it's own right, I'm glad other companies have developed just as competent, if not more, engines. That brings a whole different bag of exclusivity tho.

I have no beef with developers wanting to keep their own games to their own distribution platforms. I have a beef with third parties paying off developers for exclusive distribution rights in an attempt to force customers through said third party's storefront. Steam doesn't do that. Origin doesn't do that. uPlay doesn't do that.

That's just basically tax. You don't necessarily support your government just because everything can be tax deductable.
The idea of support is that you provide assistance with intent of the betterment of who or what you are supporting at, hence the idea of "support". Having unavoidable royalties is not support, it's just an unfortunate reality of your primary recipient that we have to deal with if we ever have to access that which we have an actual interest in supporting, which is in my case Gears for Breakfast - maker of A Hat In Time.
I wouldn't pay taxes if they wouldn't just hunt me down like a dog, but I have to do it, else they would hunt me down like a dog. Doesn't mean I support my government every time I make a tax-deductible income or purchase.

Yeah well, i agree. Business decision isn't necessarily contingent to the quality.
I'm actually waiting for Project Borealis -- closest thing we could get for an HL2:EP3 and a closure. My money is on Boreal Alyph though -- part of the HL2 project is the charm of developing the source engine, and it would be just right to see it finished as the Source Engine is finished (assuming it is finished).
But man, if they just paid for a better store, than worse PR.

The real joke is you are the one that lacks social skills. You can't even concede a point when people very patiently point out how you're wrong.
You literally don't understand how to make a relevant analogy, and enjoy pointing it out.
