Seriously though, why in the wide wide world of sports is the Shadow Hawk 5M soooo expensive?!

Blame Marik's stupid techs, whose operating plans involve all the weapons, none of the ammo, a super expensive XL engine and minimal heat sinking. It's even less fun in tabletop endurance campaigns, where the lack of CASE means these mechs blow up permanently...

Other great examples of "Marik Craftsmanship": the Perseus Omni, the Patriot, the Anzu, the Albatross, and everything else they stuffed a light gauss rifle into, starting with the Griffin 5M.

It's a damn good thing the clans didn't roll back through the Free World's League - they would've had Terra in a week, or three.
