So it was revealed by CGL during their AMA that Mechcon was in Germany this year at Paradox headquarters.

Is this the same Mechcon you guys hold or what?

It was said and moved past so quickly that it seemed like it wasn't real. It was odd that's for sure.

PGI was talking about not being able to afford MechCon this year and you believe they will hold it in Germany instead of their own country? I would say Unlikely

Most likely MechCon as a convention is being replaced by a less physically accessible information event hosted at a heavily reduced rate by Paradox.

I wouldn't be surprised if it was part of that mega-tabletop game convention they have in Germany I can't name at the moment.

Maybe Germans like "slow" shooters? The term slow shooter is on the rise to describe a shooting game where the assets move much slower but has much more HP, requiring more successive hits. Robot games, tank games, vehicular shooters that can involve battleships to starships, can fall under this regime. Basically just a new phrase for "thinking man's shooter".

Not just Germans, but Russians too. This make it more convenient for Russians, not just players, but developers, to attend such an affair.

Bit of a stretch saying that a Paradox convention is Mechcon. Surely Battletech is represented but I got doubts that MWO/MW5 are.

Either PGI decided to take all the money and avoid anymore conversations or involvement with the community or they learned from previous mechcons and decided to focus on more important things.

^ I'm betting russ took all the money and went what mwo? I do miss that half year pay bonus the supporter pack was. Even if it was low you could stack pt and hero bonus on it. Some times the war horn was nice like the 2017 red one sounding a lot like Queen.
