Just waited ~13min on Tourmaline Desert for the first shots to be made, because both teams spent over half the match stuck in sniping mode ~2000m from each other.
Basically if Nascar is the plague of QP, then in 2019 sniping has become the plague of FP.
Snipers are easy to spot because they're the only ones shooting from a default ~200m behind the most back line LRMer (which they use as their meat shields, along with the rest of their team).
So here's a simple question : Want more sniping or less sniping in FP ?
And by sniping I mean the 1200-1500+ meter sniping, by snipe boat I mean something like 6xERLL snipe boats, and by FP snipefest I mean Alpine Peaks and Frozen city style snipefests, but it's visibly spreading to more FP maps by the day.

Lets see, another can't stand the game, want to nerf thread.
Most of the good brawling weapons have been Nerfed, LRM's don't work, and Heavy Short ranged weapons lack punch. What did you expect.

Well more sniping, sure enough...
But it wouldn't hurt if snipe weapons didn't double fine as weapons for instant short bursts of brawl damage, making them useful from 0m to ~2000m.
One way of doing it would be to increase the amount of heat generated by extra long ranged weapons, to take into account their ability to boat heat sinks to offset their current heat generation... because right now even a 6-8 ERLL SuperNova is an option, if only on a cold map.
