So this will be the end game as in MWO servers are shutting down?

I wish - I would love to host a private MWO server for my unit.

PGI can't even be bothered to put a simple tournament together.

Oh well, at least it's being run by competent people this time. It might actually be worth watching assuming there are any comp players left in the sinking ship.

The Comp Play queue will be opening Thursday and Sunday.

EU primetime (~18:00-21:00 UTC) and NA primetime (~01:00-04:00 UTC) are the timeframes expected to have teams searching for matches in the queue.

1. No, by end-game they mean content that would normally await high level players at the end of a games campaign or multiplayer experience. Content designed to test the abilities of high level players while remaining fun.

2. Give everyone accurate proof that the servers are or will be shutting down in the next 6-8 months. If you cannot provide such proof, please keep your negativity to yourself.

It's sad that the players have to do this. PGI has truly abandoned this game, I'll miss it when they turn the lights out.

Even though PGI isn't hosting the tournament, this is still a pretty big deal.

They're letting us use the compQ, supplying prizes, and helping out on the backend.

That's commendable, and I completely understand why they aren't hosting a worlds series themselves this year.

The game-term Endgame
In the gaming world the term Endgame is not where the game ends. The Endgame is where a user has reached the highest level and is transitioning from the basic day-to-day scaffolding mechanics to a new set of mechanics that only advanced level players can infinitely do.

Above is a good explanation of endgame

So in reality it's just a comp team setting their own rules and play times that make zero sense.

You want people to contribute...to something they cannot even contribute anything meaningful to in the first place...

Oh my god...conquest 8v8...WORLDS BEST???

I'll setup a real tournament worth real $ that anyone and any team can be a part of.

I'll have you guys know, I can make a much better comp than people that have: spent the last year and a bit cooperating with members of the comp community, listening to feedback and analyzing results, set up and hosted streams alongside being a friendly place for actual competitive advice.
