[FRAGTAST1C]

I'm considering buying the Hunchback IIC pack that includes the following...

Hunchie IIC [O]
Hunchie IIC A
Hunchie IIC B

Jenner IIC [O]
Jenner IIC 2
Jenner IIC 3

Any thoughts on the mechs? I'm more interested in the Hunchies and the Jenner IIC [O]. Are there other mechs that I could get instead or something?

I went up to the Onion IIC cause it wasn't a bad deal..

Jenners suck now though.

Yeah, I'm more interested in the Jenner IIC [O] while the other two are "meh". I don't have any pure SRM bombers in the Light Clan mech department right now. That mech fits the bill. The other two I can't figure out the loadout yet but maybe one day.

The Hunchies are very good, imo. So, that's one of the reasons why I'm considering buying this mech pack.

Oh the cbill boost Hunchie in that pack is the bomb dude. Dual uac10, quirked for dual uac20, dual lbx20, and dual gauss...it is really solid with those builds, the laser variant is great as well, the B does lurms or if you like the cancer ATMs. Really don't think you'll be disappointed with them.

The Jenner IIC does do srm bomber well but it's not quirked like IS ones and is squishy cause of it's size. Not really too tough to make it work, but it's not great and the other variants are meh.

*Oh best Jenner in the pack is also cbill boosted so the two you are likely to use the most will make you da big bucks. Also thanks for your support of the game. Not only PGI appreciates, wanna keep those servers on right?

Don't thank an addict, dude. I just got done levelling several Light and Medium mechs. I have quite a few Assault mechs to level up and I'm adding to that queue now.

Also, I have the Orion IIC A (C) and I absolutely love it. But I don't want to get that 3-in-1 pack 'cause I've already spent some cash on the GSP bundles. Hunchie and Jenner is good for now. So, thanks, guys. I'll catch you on the NASCAR-field

Edit: How does the Banked PT work? I mean, how do I use it? I've never had access to it. I've always used regular PT.

Edit: How does the Banked PT work? I mean, how do I use it? I've never had access to it. I've always used regular PT.

Best way is to do it through your profile, I think it's main page of it but forget sorry. It lets you do 30 at a time. In game if you have you just push the button under prem time counter but it activates all of what you currently have banked.

Um....you'd be surprised who else you would know me by!!!

To be fair it was a strange, strange game and I ended up right in the middle of the enemy and dropped a strike on all of us. It was a god strike for sure so you are not wrong. That said I have done more damage in quick play than that without strikes.

You also don't have to understand it, PGI allows it. Most of my alts are in units that identify me to a good deal of the community and have posted screenshots on various discords. So I am honest about it, and I also don't terrorize lower tiers as I felt the same way the majority of the community did about that one fella pretty famous for it.

What is not to get? Why would you even care?

You don't do it, that's great. Tons of reasons though and I actually have two main accounts for starters, one Clan and the other IS (but with Clan mechs from before I made the decision to have two).

I care in part because I invested quite a decent sum of time and money into this game and never agreed with the way PGI structured the game in terms of faction play and causing players to effectively create alts to circumvent hard limitations.
As far as the OP is concerned, the hunch is a great jack of all trades, master of several fighting styles. Before Clan meds and HLLs got hard nerfed the laser variant was great for all forms of lasers, now it’s a good mpl platform. The missile var only just falls short of the Veagle as a ATM launcher, and can also do some crazy lrm builds. The var with quad ballistics can run builds from quad 2s to dual lb20s or gauss.
As far as the Jenner is concerned, just don’t. Sometimes they run pretty good but for the most part that mech blows donkey. The arm bomber is going the most reliable. And absolutely DO not touch the j2c hero “Fury” with a 10 foot pole. It’s hot garbage. Like at the bottom of the pile

I have been consistently disappointed with the JR7-IIC line. They're too big and too squishy to be as good as they should be in their role- everything they do, the Arctic Wolf can do better, with more survivability, at about the same speed. It obsoletes the JR7-IIC as thoroughly as the Assassin did the Oxide for the IS.

The HBK-IICs, on the other hand, have been nothing but amazing from day one. Even though they've been supplanted in PPC and missile poptarting by the VEagle, the IIC and IIC-C are still the best medium dakka in the game, and the IIC-A is still a fantastic laser peeker. Top-of-'Mech-high, cockpit-level mounts will never go out of style, and the HBK-IICs just have so many of them for the tonnage.

Yeah no.

Having alts circumvents nothing and for years (up to a couple of month ago) all I did was CW. Especially since I used my mains for CW mostly.

HBK-IIC is super, like someone said 2x UAC10 , UAC20 , LB20-X or Gauss.. probably the best twin uac20 mech.
HBK-IIC-A again Twin ERPPC, 4xERLL, 6xERML/MPL (everyone should have like 4-10 of these mechs at this point )
HBK-IIC-B meh imo unless you wanna lurm or atm (Vapor is way better for this), not agile/durable enough to brawl with srms IMO.

Jenners... just don't they were awesome and then came the great rescale and jenners became HUUUUGE walking CTs, just don't waste your moneys on them.

Nah, never liked attention but I like to hear what opinions people might have about the things I know a little bit about. I don't have the Jenners but from what I've gathered after encountering a few of them is that they're easy to hit and the Clan version doesn't have the HP but they do their role relatively well and they're Battlemechs so they aren't hard-capped on engines and slots. As for Hunchies, I don't have them either but I've seen how good the Clan variants are which is why I mentioned in the OP that I'm buying this mech pack purely for the Hunchie but I did also ask if there were other mechs that I should look for instead. Since I got a confirmation about how good the Hunchie IIC variants in the pack are, and Jenners being "OK'ish", I bought it.

Always good to get a confirmation or an opposing view before you decide on something based on a very limited knowledge.
