While we all like to bask in the glory of damage caused, measuring our performance by the amount of damage done, the number of components destroyed, mechs killed and KMDDs accomplished, I feel there's a stat missing.

Damage taken.
This should be expressed as a absolute value and a percent value at the endscreen.

We already get the % mech remaining during the match, expressed in the upper left of the HUD, but that value isn't carried over to the end game screen in any way.

It would be really great to be able to understand that while yes, your massive assault mech didn't do 1500 damage, it did take 324 damage, and 56% of total mech hit points before being destroyed.

Providing this stat may help pilots recognize that they need to focus more on preserving their mech and making it harder to kill them.

@Alericus: may I say I agree with you but may I recommend you don't bother.

all the mech pack moneys that actually made it back into the game went on LuRMs, mechcons, and MW5.

"Damage Taken" Stat in End Of Round screen addition
The End Of Round screen will now have an entry for Damage Taken. This is the amount of damage taken during the match.

Will be an interesting little stat to see but the 100% damage taken = dead is not strictly correct.
If you get cored out but take very little damage to arms, legs and side torso we can say the mech is destroyed but this would not have been 100% of the armour has been destroyed.
Maybe we should think of that % in team stats during the game as 'operational' as in: at the start all mechs are 100% operational.

Wouldn't damage taken indicate how good one is at trading fire.

So I'd imagine low damage taken means you out traded your opponent.

High damage taken means your oponent out traded you or you didn't use terrian masking cover well or did some thing silly like stand in the open

Could also mean you torso twist like a BOSS
