there's good and theres the one i picked (gdl shadowhawk). i wanted the merc paint jerb. it was that or the wang.

ive heard good things about the ghillie. high roller was good because it was a bushie and the florentine was fun.

I've decided on the Dervish Frenzy 'cause I don't have that. Most of the IS medium mechs that are good are non-Hero/Special variants (mostly). But if you must pick one other than the Frenzy, then Bushie High Roller or the Shadowhawk Grey Death are decent. They are versatile and can take a beating.

Bushwacker High Roller is a 55 ton Vindicator 1X; better hitboxes with slightly less armor (VND is quirked to hell), slightly more firepower but weaker firepower quirks, slower, no jump jets, higher priority target.
HIGH ROLLER
VND-1X
The build, and by extension the High Roller, is good — but another mech can do the same thing so you don't need to spend your reward on it.

Dervish Frenzy is a pretty solid missile spammer.

I'm debating on the Cicada 3F Loyalty variant as I don't have it (someone with a picture, can I see a screenshot of it? Suppose what I really want to know is does it have a unique paintjob? More importantly, was it from the days of unique geometry? Somehow I failed to get one when they first came out)...

Dervish hero as I don't have it.
Hellspawn hero.
Uziel hero (unlikely to get this, I don't like the Uziels in MWO)

Any thoughts?

The Loyalty Cicada does indeed have some unique paint job but I don't have it either. Just looked at on Mechdb. Nice energy quirk for long range skirmishing I'd think.

Dervish Hero is what I've gone with. 8 missile hardpoints on a IS mech with JJ is just too good to pass up. 4 SRM4s + 4 SRM2s is what I'm thinking of (I haven't piloted it yet)

I do have the Hellspawn Paralyzer. As usual, it suffers from the odd silhouette it has but it is capable of great things. You an do 6 MPLs with ECM on it but I first went with Stealth armour, 4 SPLs, 2 SRM6s and 2 FLamers with enough JJ to get great verticality and a big enough XL engine to go 105 kph. Now, I've switched it to 2 MPLs, 4 ERSL, 2 SRM4s, enough DHS to stay cool, JJ for quick escape and still able to run over 100 kph with a large XL engine. It has decent armour quirks in the right areas though so you can get enough HP. It is pretty agile as well. But again, odd silhouette.

Uziel hero... well universal Range and missile cooldown quirk is nice. You could probably do some sort of a Griffin build with MPLs and 2 SRM4s and run fast with XL 325 engine. But it has structure quirks and can't shield. Or maybe you could do MRMs instead...?

Take whatever you want .

The hero and loyalty mechs job is to generate you more cbills . Combat effectiveness is optional .

I had the Cicada, Griffin, Wolverine and BlackJack Loyalty mechs already but missed the Centurion Loyalty since I never bought any mechs before the release of the Resistance 1 Panther pack and wasn't really playing the game back then so picked the CN9-AH(L).

I was thinking of getting the Kintaro Golden Boy but just had to pick the 1 IS Loyalty Med that I was missing even tho I don't like the hardpoints of the CN9-AH and have the A(C), A(NCIX), AL and D variants already.

Only other selection I have is the Grid Iron but don't really bother playing it at all since getting it free a few years ago for a thanksgiving event.

Golden Boy is on my shortlist of mechs to get when it goes on sale again.
