i have updated through steam and am launching through steam but everytime i just keep getting "there is an upgrade available please launch from steam" any suggestions?

My suggestion would be to boot up the repair tool and run it and see if that helps. Sometimes there is a minor glitch and this often helps. Good Luck.

steam users launch the game differently. idk how that works because ive only ever used the launcher.
