Yesterday, somewhere out by the big hoop in Tourmaline Desert, I briefly lost control of my Mad Dog when one of my teammates referred to a pair of enemy Urbanmechs (who, admittedly, were dicing us up) as "those damn nippleheads." LMFAO. For a crucial thirty seconds. Got hung up in the metal skeleton wall on the quiet side of the hoop. Been playing for four years and never heard the nickname "nippleheads" until yesterday. As I regained control and dedicated full chassis to losing gloriously, I noticed several others commenting on the "nippleheads" nickname. Apparently it's a new one, which made me realize that we don't tend to broadcast 'mech nicknames out here on the forums. So it might be good to just get a list going, partly so noobs know what we mean, partly for the humor of it all. So here's the beginning of a list:

Nipplehead (apparently this is a thing now): An Urbanmech
Big K: A Kodiak or a King Crab; if someone says something to "Big K" and you're driving a Kodiak or a King Crab, there's a chance they're talking to you, not calling another player by name.
Big A: An Atlas; see "Big K" above.
Fatlas: Another name for an Atlas; derogatory.
Big D: A Direwolf; see "Big K" above.
Mary Poppins: Any 'mech packing ECM or three-plus AMSes. Likely referents include the Kitfox and the Nova, which are commonly-used three-AMS chassix.
Turtle: Any low-crouched heavy light/light medium. For example, a Nova, a Cougar, or an Adder.
Billboard: A very large, very wide 'mech. For example, a Fafnir, a Blood Asp, a Highlander, an Awesome, a Mauler, a Warhammer IIC, a Corsair, or, alternatively, certain heavies, including the Summoner, Cataphract, Hellbringer, and Warhammer.
Jag: An Ebon Jaguar.
Timbie: A Timberwolf (RIP).
Fridge: A Hunchback or Hunchback IIC.
Minifridge: A Myst Lynx or an Ice Ferret.
Hellbie: A Hellbringer--NOT a Hellfire or a Hellspawn.
Bushie: A Bushwacker.
Splatapult: <no explanation needed>
Faffie: <Really??>
Onan: An Orion.
Annie: An Annihilator.
Turkey: A Nightstar.
Vickie: A Victor.

What else you guys got?

You missed quite a few, and I'm sure others will fill that in.
Cute fox, OnionIIC, Onion, Whammy, Ice-Fridge, Timberturd, Urbie, just Faf, Skylander . Jag is more akin to Jagermech, I'm far more prone to hear EBJ (ebeejay) for the Ebon.

See? I knew you peeps would come through! I'm particularly fond of "Doom Nipples" @Novakaine, and LordNothing's ingenious "itchy"/"scratchy" distinction. So choice.

If you've got any more, keep it going!

Didn't read all the above but surely Trenchbucket for Trebuchet is an OG example.

Also worth noting that some weapon boats are named by combining a prefix indicating primary weapon type and a short nick for the mech in question
Splat- SRMs (typically), sometimes I've heard it used for MRMs
Boom- Large ballistics, usually multiple
Dakka- medium ballistics (AC5s, AC10s), typically Ultras but Rotaries also qualify
Lurm- Duh.
Streak- Duh.
Gauss- Duh.

This is how "Splatcat", "Streak Dog", "Boom Hammer" etc got coined.

What, no mention of Goose Waffles yet? For shame.

"Thud" for Thunderbolt

"Wham" for Warhammer
