Running 4xlrm5 arms 3xml, tag and 3 tons ammo. 2 to 4 jj heat sink or two. It's been a killing machine. Got about 750 match score and over 900 dmg in one game. I'll have to find the screen shot.

I've found the extra speed and manuverability makes getting LRMs into play effectively much easier. Even for close quarters you can often jump back enough to get your missiles in play. Of course it' not a true lrm boat...

Small fast LRM boat mechs are surprisingly effective with a bunch of LRM5s..

Their one counter is the dreaded 4AMS corsaire, but that thing counters most LRM boats..

I find a steady stream of LRM5 is about the same as a bunch of AC2s.. but with lock-on mechanic pros and cons..

I use this style on the Jenner, and some medium mechs like the Trebuche, Kintaro (especially effective in this role) and I used to do it on the Myst Lynx too before the MG buffs..

Yeah, Kintaro Golden Boy has been LRM 5 spam fest for years. The thing with LRM5 spam (and RAC spam) is that most of the population doesn't know how to focus through the cockpit shake, and don't realize that it doesn't actually shake your targetting reticle. Good players understand this, and will return fire through the shake with more damage than incoming, then duck into cover, rinse repeat win that trade till spammer is dead.

You missed my loading, it uses lasers. But I did try a pure lrm boat.

back when i was stupid i ran a kitfox lermbot. it was pretty good, for a potato. with all the ams out there now i doubt it would be effective.
