Bug : AMS fires straight through the background (walls, rocks, floor...). I'm guessing this is because it would be too CPU intensive to detect those kind of collisions.

Suggestion : Once an AMS projectile hits a target, only then check one single time if there is a direct line of sight between the AMS projectile and the AMS launcher it came from. If there is no direct line of sight between them that means the AMS had to travel through the background (or another mech) to reach it's target, and so should not be counted as having reached it's target.

This reduces the CPU requirement hundred fold, while correctly performing the missing collision check.

It has been workng like that for 7 years and isn't a bug. May I recommend trying out direct fire weapons if you have troubles when FP premades have AMS corsairs?

You realize all missiles are usable as direct fire weapons ?

While MWO AMS count as auto-aim indirect fire weapons, that according to Mechwarrior rules should only shoot at missiles that are targeting the Mech the AMS is mounted on... preferably not through walls...

And what does "broken for 7 years" have to do with no longer requiring a fix : When a car has a flat tire it becomes a legit flat tire after 7 years where you live ?

Raycasting is expensive (for performance)

Which is why AMS doesn't do it.

No skill counter for a no skill weapon seems fair to me.
