Typing this while waiting another 30 minutes for a faction play drop, and the title of being a Hero to Clan Wolf gets further away.
I was thinking about how Bots could be implemented so ;
A) games could populate faster
balance for different Tier accounts.
Reaction Time.
The Bot mech detects the player and fires in 1 second if Tier 1, 2 for Tier 2 and so on.
Like Turrets and the onslaught mode of tutorial map.
Solo players get bot and solo players
Groups get groups and bots.
Ask Epic for some help, the Bots in Fortnite are great fun.

Do you recall how great AI of the VIP atlas in escort was?
Pls, do not ask for impossible things, or we all might regret it later.

That was no AI though, but a script on a rubberband.

I don't see why not. There has always been bots in MW. Sure you had to tailor builds a bit more 'stock' and micro manage the crap out of them, but that is fun and different. Imagine having to spec a bot lance and command them effectively against a player lance while also exchanging fire... Or an entire drop (personally would love this if only matching with like red drops).

Don't know if I would go down the path of trying to introduce bots to the game as a solution to player numbers.
Personally I would suggest trying to give the teams more flexibility and simply allow smaller matches of 4v4 or 8v8 to occur.
However, certainly understand why this topic has been raised so in the interest of discussion:
Some sort of survival mode like we have in the academy?
Might be better vs conventional vehicles like tanks and vtols instead of mechs and just need to hold a point for as long as possible.
Attacking a minor hardened target that has a variety of turret emplacements?
Don't think AI mechs will ever cut the cheese in MWO.

Pls, do not ask me not to ask for things as Mechwarrior Online is my game as much as it's yours.
When the population disappears at the end of November for Heavy Metal, then really drops off in December for MW5, bots might be the only possible solution for those left behind.

0 chances of this, as MWO is not being developed anymore
