Think that is kinda of a bad move. Starting the beta this weekend with a preload time during this week would have been better.

PGI hasn't had a big issue with changing the conditions of the pre-order.

I also heard that supposedly it's because of threats of streamers breaking NDA. So essentially the demo will be okay to stream, since it's so close to release anyway. Which I can't help find laughable. Why would that be a problem? Unless the game IS bad and they're just afraid of it hurting sales. So glad I refunded and am waiting for videos and reviews.

yea i knew this was just exclusive early access which was supposed to be one of the last remaining perks for pre ordering. seems pgi has to screw with that one too.

its not really either one in my book. its not a demo, because that term was usually reserved for the try before you buy demos of ye olde golden era of gaming. back when devs were competent enough that they could show you exactly what you were buying without ruining their reputation in the process. that's even more misleading than calling it a 'beta'. at least beta is more honest as the state most games are when they release these days. if you are gonna call it anything call it what it is: exclusive early access.

its sad when a game company has to cover up their own products to stand a chance to turn a profit.

Given pgi's past with mwo are any of us really surprised by pgi ******* up more and more yet another attempt to play "developer." I never did pre-order because of it. I saved my money and I can just c-bill those other variants if/when they get set for c-bills.I would have pre-order-ed multiple copies for the family for steam but I decided to take the -its-pgi-better-wait-for-release approach. Then they switch from the bait to egs for a year and so on.
