Target Silhouette for Warhammer 40k and other mini based games.
IRL Police and military agents use humanoid targets as part of their training. But what if you could take this concept and add it to a modern wargame as part of the terrain. These are easy to make.
First go into your typing/writing program on your computer and make a single vertical column of X's going down the left hand side of a single page, and print off one copy. Use this as a measure against your mini.
Next get a Silhouette profile of an Orc, Space Marine, or other figure, (even a Tau Crisis Suit). Even if you have to make the Silhouette yourself as a rough image. You can make a solid black image, or have a thick black outline of the target as a base. You can add details to the target if you wish such as an Up Arrow on the chest, a heart, a scope target, or even numerical point values between 10 and 100 for various points on the "target". Or even mix and match these images.
Go back into your typing/writing program where you make the X's. Divide the page into two columns. On the left you have the line of X's going down the page. Use these as a measuring device as you scale you Silhouette's down the right hand column, using the left as a guide.
Print this page and carefully cut out the Silhouettes or the Silhouette in it's "rectangular frame" (or picture frame). From there you can glue a plastic rod or stand to the back of the target and from there, the target can be added to various portions of the "battlefield" as minor visual effects.
