There are no kind of reticle ready pips in MW5. Absolutely none.

Exactly my point, they exist in MWO and not in MW5. They need to be added to MW5.

I can only hazard a guess that they are modelling the AI after Russ Bullock himself?

Welp, fixing AI apparently won't be that complicated. The basics are messing with the trees to create smart decisions.

.....

No wonder...

Well, to be honest, no. If the AI was fixed, even the demo would be great fun. I don't know how much things will change when the campaign is introduced into this equation... it might improve things or be even more broken.

But I don't think it's an abortion.

It's not as if HBS spent like a whole year and then some tuning their game post release.

Joystick support right now is pretty abysmal, so mouse and keyboard is recommended.

oh ..all pilots not "normal People" ...Joystick its a better control as Handacrobatic with Mouse and Keyboard for a Simulation.I has its reasons why in reality joysticks are used.

Yeah, all those fundamental issues will be fixed in the 14 days between the Beta being released and the full commercial release.

Well they are working on some stuff but its indeed questionable if they will make it in time for a day one patch. Personaly I would prefere it if we could have a small patch next week to see if there is progress and if its in the right direction.

Overall I think they should have released the Demo earlier to give themself some more time. While the demo works fine for me it still shows some stuff that should be fixed before release.

They should've released the demo as a beta... like they were SUPPOSED TO!

Then we could've given them some guidance, which they clearly need.

Way too much concentration on irrelevant things that have little to no consequence for an enjoyable game experience.

Do you play War Thunder? Mouse-based control on that game is like ace-level autopilot on steroids and outperform most stick players. Posted Image

It's not even an online product, so it's not like we can pretend it's an open beta stress test. It's a demo, and a rather disappointing one at that. Core functionality is missing.

Honestly, I've had the biggest itch to just get MechWarrior 4 and MechWarrior 3 working again on my Windows 10 desktop rig; only reason I haven't given it a shot is because I know the multiplayer is going to be a ghost land in both of them. Ah well.

There is a MechWarrior 3 Community Discord I am. People meet in small groups and play/test their games. It has over 300 members. MechWarrior 4 is about to have MekTek return to put out a new expansion. Most people meet up on GameRanger.

90% of mw5's problems will be "fixed" by mods in a year and few months when the game hits steam...which means steam sale price saved me a ton of money and hassle. Thanks egs exclusivity.
