what is it? there is never anything to do at high reward quest symbols

You go to the tab screen, click a thing, and it usually sends you somewhere else.

The first one I did gave me a locust lol

They're good sources of reputation but require you to hop between star systems. Great options later on, but not always easy to do when you're just squeaking by with Javelins and Firestarters (both essential starter Mechs IMO).

So go to more distant conflict zones to get harder missions with more pay and bigger possible mechs but you need a stellar rep to salvage them.

I'm disappointed with mech salvaging. I get the balance concerns but it's way easier to farm money and hop around to buy a better mech than salvage one.
