I remember getting legged on the Bone Machine/Baker 3 mission in a Nova and from then on being eternally grateful for JJ's and just started putting them on every mech.
It helped that due to low gravity you could basically fly in a lot of missions.

I remember crossing the map flying at 300+ km/h. JJ were totally broken in MW2 (but this was fixed in MW2:M).

Best part was low gravity.
