Haven't seen this mod mentioned around here and after TTB (youtuber) "advertised" it in a video, I DL-ed and tried it.

Seems to work nicely (spawns are further away and mostly by dropship)

Only "drawback" would be, that you have to wait for each new wave in Warzone missions, since the new waves are flown in to a point about 1km away (sometimes behind a mountain).
On the other hand, if you want to withdraw after getting beat up a little, you now have a bit of time to do so.

Note: Makes the game a little easier, since you have more time to react to new enemies, so if it is a cakewalk for you already, you might want to skip this.

Note2: Not sure it works for story-missions, since I haven't re-played any of those I have already finished with the mod installed, but the new ones I did _felt_ like the spawns were further away than in the mission I did without the mod - can't be sure, of course.
