Battle Tech Crashing After Update

Hi all,

I did not have time to play any games for about 3 mo. So when i tried to play Battle Tech it had to upgrade... Since then on some planets / missions the game will crash to the desktop... happens on some planets more than others... Has become a major headache. is there any fix to this problem....?
