Haveing played Coop for the first time, there are some points that bothered me and I would like to hear what you think.

Looking at the starmap together and see what missions are avaible so that we can decide together what missions to tackle next. Idealy I would like to open the map myself, move around and select stuff so we can have 2 pairs of eyes looking for the next best job and then give the guest the option to mark a location so the host knows what to look at next. Instead of giveing someone a discribtion like "...from there two systems to the right, see that? No...more more to the right, no go back..."

Beeing able to give another player permission to modify the mech they are given.

Guest are given at least a small payment for playing with someone else. Maybe even some salvage?

Fully hiring another player. Kinda like a sub contract?
So you setup a payment and salvage rights, etc. as with the Missiongiver contracts but with another player. That player then brings one of his own mechs to the game.
Idealy it would be awesome if you could create a mixed group, like two mechs from the hosts unit, one mech from the first guest unit and one mech from the second guest unit.

Overall more interaction or options that make it feel more like you are together manageing or working in the same unit instead of you standing around in the hangar, waiting for the host to finish whatever he needs to do.

According to the NGNGtv podcast, they are looking into that for a big patch in the end of January '20

I wrote this before listeing to the podcast...but good to know they are looking into it, like other stuff.

In general I think I heard a lot of "we know / we wanted to but didn't had the time or money to do it" or am I interpreting there to much into what was said?

Sounds like they had or have plans to bring in some stuff in the future. Like more varities of missions, more story mission but also the better coop part beside AI improvements and other smaller stuff.

Sadly it also sounds like "this was our first try, sorry if we miss some things". On the other hand if they continue to improve the game and take in suggestions and wishes from the community as well as maybe work with modders, this game could become much more.

Co op as is, is useless to 3 of the 4 potential players, just a duck shoot in instant action and gets old real quick, and apart from the help value to host a waste of time to the rest of team, not very inviting.
The crew (other players in the Host team need to have a couple rewards for taking part so its not a waste of time.
Minimum they need some pay, and rep for the mission, a share in salvage would be appropriate also.
Using their own mechs or modding hosts mechs is debatable, personally not one of my choices, but thats me.
But definitely a cut of the purse plus Rep is a must.

It's not a "must", things like looking at Starmap together or clients being able to change their given Mech with permission from the host are shortterm goals for PGI, as Russ said.
And that is much more important.

I ended Campaign and now play with a friend and it's enough fun to built up a Mercoutfit together, not everyone needs cbills or reputation and it would also be hard to sync/share this with 1 to 3 others players savegames and would make everything just more complicated in the background, because every player would need to load up his savegame somehow.

You don't have an account, you can have serveral campaigns running, so it's not like playing MWO and everyone gets his cut in the end, tied to his account.

If you have no fun playing with your friends and need "rewards" for that, well….

I can agree that bringing your own mech and stuff can be problematic in the way as "How does that modify your own savegame?"

As for modifying the hosts mechs. I think when there is a permission system that could work but after hearing Russ I agree with him that its rather problematic that if two or more people are working on the same mech...who has the last say in it?
What if I install stuff that the host wanted to save for later or for another mech?
A comprimise could be that I could watch the host modifieing the mech and I can see what he is doing and ask him if he could put XYZ into the mech for me. That way still only one person would work on the mech and the host would still have full controle.

As for a reward for playing coop. I think that would be nice. I have played with a friend and while its fun and all...it dosn't do anything for progressing my story. Also he felt bad about it so we keept switching between one and the other beeing host for 3 missions at a time then switch again. It feelt kinda akward doing so.
Just give the other player some credits that he can transfere to a savegame of his choice.
