I got the hero Blackjack and frickin' love it. Face-mashing with 6 mgs is glorious. But I've noticed something. I go to repair the mech after a mission and all I have to repair is some armor, but the total cost seems excessively high. No component damage...just armor. And it costs over 200,000!
Is this typical of hero mechs? I don't feel like replacing armor on a Blackjack should cost anywhere close to this much.

Do Hero Mechs Cost More To Repair!?

I think it's more to do with special equipment that you can't see, like, Endo-steel structure and Ferro fibrous armour.
The Orion Protector has endo or something that allows it to carry a big ballistic, large energy and MLs + SRM4s. So, you can easily do Gauss + PPC + MLs + SRM4s on it with enough DHS to keep it cool. So, it seems to have something that allows you to carry all of the extra tonnage.
