Just fought a Griffin-1N with an LRM 10 and a PPC, he was dancing around me but not doing anything. Then I noticed both his weapons were red and thus disabled. I kept dancing around him too but my lance mates got bored and shot him.

Aren´t they supposed to eject? I wanted that Griffin :).

If it's on an assassination mission you gotta finish the mech yourself.

If that Griffin was a priority target in the Assassination mission, he wouldn't eject. He'd fi... dance around you till the bitter end.

Sometimes they do eject....sometimes not.
Thats also something I miss with the AI, that if it registers that it hasn't a fighting chance they just try to retreat or might even panic and just run away.

In general mechs of that era where to valuable to let even a highly damaged mech behind or be destroyed. What I imagne should happen is that the enemy Mech pilot has a certain threshold of how much damage he is willing to take before retreating and ordering the tanks and VTOLs to cover his behind by putting themself between you and him.
