Hi.
I am newbie (and bad) and now is risk that i hit level 3 PSR.
Its too quick for me, still i don´t know maps, all mechs etc.
So i need stay on level 4 or ideal drop to level 5.
I can´t mar a game for better players on tier 3.

Is any way how make it?
One way is AFK battles, but it worse variant and propably ilegal.

Thx

P.S.: Sorry for my bad englishPosted Image

There's plenty enough people in Tier 1 who still can't shoot their way out of a wet paper bag. You'll be fine.

No, you don't. You need to get yourself together and stop being afraid of imaginary inadequacies.
Seriously, man. Put your spine straight and think how to WIN instead of worrying how you might lose.

No. The tier system is a measure of experience, not ability - anyone who plays enough matches and isn't irredeemably terrible will eventually rise to Tier 1. The only difference is how soon you will get there.

Worse than that, it's a bannable offense. It's also an ******* thing to do because it screws over the 11 other guys on your team and is insulting to the 12 guys on the OTHER team who were hoping for a good fight.
Instead of wanting to slum it with the bads, get in gear and kick some ***.

No he doesn't, he needs to learn it's a game, win or lose, it doesn't matter as long as you have FUN!

When you worry about winning you lose the fun.

The fact that you care about your team mates means you are already a better pilot than many tier 1 pilots. In Mechwarrior Online, pilot tier is just an XP bar, it does NOT necessarily reflect skill. Many players at tier 1 with thousands of games are as bad if not worse as new pilots. My advice OP is don't be afraid, you will do fine. Keep learning the maps and play as well as you can.

Trying a new mech and loadout that you're unfamiliar with and want to learn could slow your progression.

But really, the gap between tier 3 and 4 isn't terrible.
You'll perform mostly the same.

Best of luck.

By acknowledging you don't know everything you already have one of the prerequisites to improve and do well covered. In addition you might try to learn from some experienced and effective pilots or units. Learning from high performing streamers is another way to learn.

Just be careful who you listen to. There's quite a bit of misinformation out there.

OP

i feel your pain

its a big big problem with this game

sadly the best players in the game need targets to shoot at and your that target

I am sure some of them well be along to say "get--good" or get gone

just try to drop (play matches) and do the best you can

ask questions and be willing to listen

When you worry about winning you lose the fun.

You're only half-right, because you assume things I have neither said nor implied.
The game is fun when both sides give their best, not when one of them flakes out due to performance anxiety.
Whether you won matters less than whether you tried to.
Have some freaking self-confidence. You can win, and you owe it to yourself to try.
If you adopt a defeatist attitude before the match even begins? You're not trying.

Pretty sure PSR is designed to only go up. Not sure there's even a way to make it go down.

It can go down, but with whatever the algorithm is the bias is massively towards a players PSR increasing.....which is why active QP players all pretty much end up in tier 1 sooner or later. I guess that’s why Jarl’s List is the nearest thing we have to a objective (numbers based) way to measure skill...tier is really worthless, we all know that.

To the OP: Embrace the painful mirror that higher tier games might bring. You might not like what you see about your own results right now, but if you are willing to spectate other (better) players after you die you will learn a lot more about how to play this game and get better. Many pilots before you were horrific, learned what they needed to learn and got to at be at least what passes for ok in this game ....

With the player base as small as it currently is the matchmaker ignores PSR most of the time.

It doesn't ignore PSR, it's just that pretty much everyone has XP bar leveled to Tier 1 at this point, so those are literal Tier 1 games you're playing in.
