Hi guys, I'm looking at gauss quirked mechs and some say "IS Gauss Rifle", some say "Gauss Rifle". What exactly is the difference (All IS mechs btw)? Does IS Gauss mean all types and Gauss means just the basic gauss rifle (not heavy/light)? Is this consistent between mechs or does the game kind of go back and forth?

You check it out in the mechlab. Take the Atlas K for e.g., It has both Ballistic and Gauss rifle cooldown totalling to -20% so, the 5 sec cooldown of Gauss and HGR is 4 now while Cyclops 11-A has only Gauss Cooldown of -10% and it applies all types of Gauss Rifles bringing GR and HGR cooldowns to 4.5.

Basically, if it says "IS Gauss Rifles blah", then it applies to all types of Goose Waffles that the IS has.

Thank you for the response. What if it says Gauss Rifle blah blah without the IS before it?

Should still apply to all Gauss varieties. Just check by adding the weapon to your 'Mech, hovering over the weapon on the 'Mech to get the stat pane to show up, and see if the affected stat is modified with a green number.
