Are Ultra Rare Supply Caches broken? (Hereby abbreviated as URSC)

It seems to me that ever since the Mech-Chella event in early June 2019 gave away 2 URSCs for playing one match with a 500+ match score (https://mwomercs.com/events/288), that URSCs are not being generated by the game at the rate they were before that event.

Since that event in June, I have played almost exactly 3000 matches now, and have received a total of just 3 URSCs. (And have not received a URSC since August 21st. I've played almost 1800 matches since then.)

During the 3000 matches I played prior to the event, I received 11 URSCs.

IDK what y'all did to the URSC counter, but it needs to be fixed. All of the supply caches but the ultra rares are useless anyways. If URSCs aren't going to be given anymore, seriously just shut off the supply caches, and boost the pay scale for playing slightly. Thanks.

Crates have always been medicore even back when you had to pay or win a key for them. I think the only time in a year of playing that I got anything considered good was the highlander mech which has become my loot box trophy mech.

I didn't get a single URSC for almost a whole year, then chained 3 in less then 2 months.

Last one had 400MC, so worth it.

As for Supply Cache in general : They're really useful to get new players started on Cbills.

Seems like the drop rate might be low enough to produce patterns where there are none. You've only had a handful so you might need many tens of thousands of matches played to even begin to make predictions. I personally think I have had one drop, once upon a time :P

Well you often get a lot of LRM Launchers.

I'm sure Humble Dexter loves them.

I seem to get an unreal amount of targeting computers in the caches...

You're talking about the 'disappointing boxes of crap'?

Yeah, the ultra's are rare... Getting anything 'good' is beyond rare.

Back in the day you could win a 'mech (I never did).

Now I don't think that's possible...

you do know that most items in a rare cache, is just something that players rarely want or buy

Nah, I don't need the money, it's just that when you get an ultra rare, you'd think there'd be some possibility of the reward being... I'm not sure of the word I'm looking for... perhaps, "meaningful"?

I'm thankful at PGI for the events and all the free decals, engines and special weapons I've got during the time playing and acquiring SCs (supply caches). Getting rid of keys to open them was a good change.

But yes, probably how they still work should also be revised. In my experience getting URSC just gave me more Kurita banners or dream catchers I could want. The best items came not from those or uncommon ones, but from just simple supply caches. I've even received some good 500 MC from one of them.(only once so far)

So I've seen opening URSC is not very exciting, the good rewards may come from common SCs.

I think that when opening the (rare) supply cache, the players should feel: "What a magnificent thing or 'Mech I am going to find in it!", and not "Hm, yeah, another small laser ..." or "Another useless decal that I will never use ..."
