I know this has been discussed to death, but I have some questions. Sorry if this is the wrong place to post this.

The PSR depends on the match score. I get that part of this. Does the match score or the change in the PSR reflect the player's current Tier? It seems like the whole thing moves based on win/loss and the value of the match score. But don't we expect a Tier 1 player to get a higher match score than a Tier 2 player? Maybe this is only an issue during the reset while we're all mixed in together.

Also, does the match score factor in the kind of mech you're driving? I know that top players can get a high match score with any mech. But for lower tier players, I can more easily get a 300 in my Scorch than I can in my Urbie. Don't we expect lighter mechs to do less damage and get fewer kills, at lest in the lowest 3 tiers? Otherwise, what's the point in having larger mechs?

I'm in Tier 5 right now. So, if I'm in a light mech in Tier 5 getting a 200 match score isn't bad. A good game is 300-400. In tier 4, the expections for the same mech would be higher, etc. By tier 1 maybe it is just the raw match score and nothing else.

But if we are mixing players from different tiers, don't we expect that the higher tier players will do better than the lower tier players. In that case, I feel like I'll get moved down much more quickly because I have to have a great game (for me) to get a match score any where near as good as the higher tier players.

Not trying to complain. I'm just sharing what I see and what I feel. I appreciate all that you've done to build a great game and try to improve it. I know it must feel like that we are never happy. I'm a SW Engineer, myself, so I know how it feels. Users!

Thanks!

I'm in the basement of Tier 5. In this game I was driving my Piranha Cypher. I did 322 damage with 2 solo kills. My team lost. And my PSR went DOWN. This is what I'm saying. For a Tier 5 player in a light mech, this seems like a really good outcome. My team had 5 kills, and I did 2 of them on my own.
