If I could have one change it would be the ability to have two mechs of the same type with different loadouts and pick one or the other after the map is picked. That is down time anyway and since the mechs are the same, only with different weapons the match maker should not care.

I think that the player frustration at dropping in Solaris City with 2000 LRMs or Polar Wasteland with short range heavy lasers is unnecessary. I would buy duplicates of each of the mechs that I play in each weight class just to have a realistic weapons mix appropriate for the situation. Seriously, what military loads planes up with air to air weapons and sends them on ground attack missions, or loads them with iron bombs for combat air patrol?

PGI sells mechs and engines and weapons, player frustration is reduced and matches become less random and frustrating.

QP was supposed to be an entry level training mode. The idea was it allowed you to learn to use different loadouts under different circumstances. The plan was once you've learned to move and shoot in QP and have setup a bunch of mechs you'd go into FP: the actual primary game mode, where you select your mechs after the map is known. Little did PGI know most people didn't want to get past the training mode.
