Greetings MechWarriors,

We have updated our Terms of Service.

What Changed?

We have added a new clause to the license section that allows modders to use MechWarrior Online Content in MechWarrior 5 Mercenaries Mods.

What do I need to do?

The next time you log into mwomercs.com or launch the game you will need to agree to the updated Terms of Use.

Why has this changed?

We're going all-in on mod support for MechWarrior 5 Mercenaries. This means we want to ensure players are able to use MechWarrior Online content for MechWarrior 5 mods. We felt our old MWO Terms of Service contradicted our goals of empowering mod making in MW5.

You can learn more about our goals for MW5 modding by visiting

I was almost sure it was going to be something preventing us from commenting about how MW5 had their own site, that we want more for MWO here.

Does this mean what I think it means? We can import assets from mwo in to mw5?
thats pretty huge, I wish Bethesda would allow something like this, they totally blocked the texture imports from morrowind to oblivion for the morroblivion mod.

i hope the game gets a steam or gog release, I would really like to see how this all pans out.

That's how I understood it since what other MWO things are there.

it is atleast getting a steam release but it won't be till december 2020. As the epic store exclusivity deal was only for a year unless something changed that.

That feeling when the terms of service gets more content added than the game.
