The Terror 1963

A baron is driven insane by visions of a woman who he believes to be his departed wife.

The movie is not that exciting, or even an attention getter and rather drones on. Featuring Boris Karloff and Jack Nickolson, it begins with a storm raging breaking waves below a castle. When a French captain falls from his horse we awakens in a nearby village. Upon his way to the "castle" he catches sight of a young woman whom he chases after. In the castle he sees her again. In one scene a door bolt closes of it's own accord, and in another scene a man is blinded by a hawk or falcon and falls to his death. The captain follows the distraught Baron down into the castles crypt. When the Baron floods the crypt a fight breaks loose between the woman, the Baron, and the captain. Warning: gruesome ending (no spoilers).
