This could have been posted earlier but I didn' t know it existed. As with many human inventions, it all starts with fantasy. Then often the future proofs itself even more spectecular than the original fantasy.

Toys for the rich and another thing 'murcia can weaponize later. If you want the poor man version just stick guns on current construction equipment and wire it to a control box for the operator.
