Its that old story again that happens with most games now.....if you have the money they like you, if you dont, you will have to wait.
A bit one sided in my opinion.....favours the people that can afford to shell out money willy nilly.
Developers need paid so they can feed their families. What is up with this "people who dont pay should get everything people that pay" attitude that permeates the internet. It makes no sense and is certainly not sustainable. Try feeding yourself with that philosophy.

By definition, that is two-sided. Those who pay and those who should probably log off and get a job. Not kidding.

Yup. Like me, I cant pay the $60+ for a Founders package. Ive been with all Battletech games, everyone that came out since it started in the mid 80's. I thought I might be able to scrape together the $30. But close examination shows I wouldnt even get a special mech. So its not worth it to me. Both my wife and I are both unemployed. So no dice. Everyone else enjoy.

Wow, really. I stop in at 11pm for 10 minutes and you have the gall to tell me I need to get off the website and get a job? Who the hell do you think you are? So your trying to say that eveyone who can't afford a founder's package are jobless bums?

I don't think, I know; I am me. Also, I told you nothing, so again you seem to be mistaken, I address the OP, however:

Seems pretty clear you have more important things to worry about and spend money on than a Founder's package, anyway, right? Certainly it's hardly the fault of PGI that they do have jobs, jobs that rely on people paying them... money that comes from the people who play their games, one of which is this, which is not bringing them money in right not. Hence the Founder programme. Get over yourself, please. It doesn't matter how old you are or how long you have been a fan or how big a fan (I have an original 3025 boxset myself, I didn't see the Battledroids one like some but whatever), you have no special entitlement.

P.S. Please don't edit your post substantially after you have been quoted, it's quite rude and also please don't erect strawman arguments from things other posters didn't say. Now, run along, please. Don't you have work to look for or something? (<- also rude, but something I actually did say, this time).

Play?

You must be mistaken, we are currently not playing but testing.

You wan't to "play"? Wait for the Release, we are in a closed beta, we are in for testing purpose.

Been so tempted to get a founders pack but to be honest its a lot of money to shell out for something that I'm unsure of who here can convince one to make this purchase........

Also adding fears of it K.O'ing my Laptop :(

This is beta so i take the basic founders pack and work at buying my mechs the hard way. I find its the best way to find bugs in the system, and one of the best ways to learn each mechs advantages and faults.

Hello MWO Community,

Unfortunatly I can't play the beta until the next database sync but i would like to ask are there some "teams/clans" allready that are recruting pilots?

I'm looking to join a active clan hopefully house marik or merc's =).

Got a question. Does buying a Founders Pack mean we get those benefits also when the game goes live or something like that? Or its only for the beta?

You will always get instant access by buying a Founder pack for as long as they offer Founder packs. Currently, that will end 6th September, IIRC. However, they could (but probably won't) extend that date again; it was extended last time due to a combination of massive interest and people clamouring for the ability to buy them but pleading insufficient notice alongside others having trouble with the payment handlers. In short, buy now if you do want one and aye, you'll be in the beta within a couple of hours, all being well.
