Medium: Any Hunchback IIC, I use a IIC-B, with 4xLRM15s, 1xERLL and 1xTAG
Heavy: Rifleman IIC-2 or IIC-A, the IIC-2 with a 6xAC2s and the IIC-A 2xUAC10s and 4xERMLs. All around great amounts of Dakka with those two Rifleman IICs
Assault: Well I got the Highlander IIC-C, Warhammer IIC-A and Marauder IIC-A so i got an opinion on all three of them
- Highlander IIC-C: I recently got it and I only swapped 1 ton of LRM ammo for a cAP, other than that I like it as is.
- Warhammer IIC-A: 2xGauss, 3xHMLs because nothing says "Tell me how well does your 'Yeet Seat' work?" than blasting enemy internal structure with dual Gauss rifles
- Marauder IIC-A: 3xUAC5s, 4xERMLs its gives great amount of Dakka that isn't to be laughed at.

IIC's in general outperform most omnimechs in their respective weight class and above. It's the PGI balancing overlords that decided to make them glass cannons in the name of balance™ in their own vision. Most of PGI's representations of the IIC class of mechs are not accurate at all to their original representations. The Warhammer IIC in Mechwarrior Online is a classic example.
The thing was really hard to kill in tabletop since it's engine was padded with DHS. Since this quirk was for some reason ignored by PGI, the balance overlords revisioned the mech into a glass cannon long range support mech. Problem with that is the Rifleman IIC does that job but better with more versatility. Brawling is done better by the Marauder IIC. When people complained about the Warhammer IIC's hit box problems and overall general squishiness, PGI did a band aide slap on with armor quirks, instead of giving it it's unique quirks from tabletop which would have helped it drastically. More mobility and torso yaw would have helped too.

Where do you have that from? Sarna has no information on such a quirk or design perk.

For the same reason why Cyclops, Banshee and Highlander are more agile than lighter Battlemaster, Awesome or Hatamoto-Chi. No reason at all.

It was from here https://bg.battletec...p?topic=50397.0 which doesn't cite the perk from sarna but is repeated multiple times in the article. Give or take I do believe the OP did pull that information about the double heat sink padding quirk from a rule book but I could be wrong.

I too am curious about this guy. Why would they not sell it? It would sell like hotcakes.
