I'd forgotten I even had the Rifleman IIC and Hero pack until the other evening. I saw Magic Pain Glove clean house on Canyon with a 2xGauss 2xER-PPC Chironex build that looked like a literal blast to play. I approximated his build based on loadout and 'Mech speed, and sure enough, it's 65 tons of what the hell just hit me fun. I remember there were other insane Rifleman builds discussed when it first came out, like kitting out the 2 variant with 2xUAC 5 and 2xUAC 10. Do you guys still occasionally load yours up with ridiculous Assault levels of firepower? That Chironex build for instance skips leg day every day, and prays that nobody notices his skimpy side torsos...

Just got the Rifleman IIC recently.
At first I tried to run it like a clan version of the triple UAC5 Jager mech from back in the daY, the idea was that in QP a slow 65T mech with assault level weaponry may be vulnerable to nascar.
Being clan the payloads bigger than a Jagar, that Rifleman IIC ran Dual UAC10's, a UAC5 and triple heavy machine guns that I eventually swapped to regular machine guns. The UAC s hit hard and the machine guns wrek opened sections.
I liked that build alot, but knowing that their are other build available for the Rifleman IIC, rather than change the existing mech I bought another. It really is like a clan Jager imo. I like it alot, my new favorite clan heavy.
So next I tried the six AC2 build which is a nice sniper, but you have to work for it, FULL TIME, a lot of aiming, face time and some thinking about positioning involved.
Thats what I have tried so far, looks like Magic Pain Gloves build will be next.

Yeah most of the variants are rather different, so the chassis as a whole has plenty of variations on slow, but heavily armed. I've not tried 6ac2s yet, I'm running 4 UAC 5s at the moment on that as I finish skilling it up. But first, the Chironex isn't finished yet!

It a really versatile mech, and offer alot of variety so you won't get bored quick. Right I'm leveling up my quad atm9 2x mpl variant it take so use to but it hit like truck when I'm position.
Also I do enjoy the heat heavy dual uac10 and dual uac5 MCII B levels of firepower that the gyr wish it could do without them pesky jj locked in.

I run a 2xATM12 3xMPL 235XL build for the Chironex. It's a decent brawler with good heat management, but your 2xGauss 2xERPPC build suggestion sounds tempting.
Still my favorite build is going to be the classic alpha monster quad pulse laser build on the prime with a tcomp2. There is just something so satisfying delivering that 48 alpha on components and blowing off side torsos, and watching the enemy team squirm as they nascar wondering what the hell hit them.
It's not a mech for everyone, but for the people that take the time out on how to make it work with positioning and providing fire support will appreciate what the 65 ton monster is capable of.
