Does anyone know how many wins it takes to max it out? I've played about 5-8 matches a week and would like to know how many years I gotta spend being loyal to one faction.

The loyalty points are quite dependent on your performance and if u are fighting for your side or just an allied side.
Since there is no penalty (if you are not a hero of x already). Fastest way to grind is switch faction after each phase to the faction you are fighting for to get the biggest bonus.
To calculate the needed matches total, just divide the needed lp by your avg. performance.
