That's quite a feat considering any site you go on with a facebook option in it will recognize you and they'll partially revive your account just in case you change your mind.

I did the same thing just last week. I realized that it was only helping me keep in contact I dislike... The ones I like I see regularly in real life.

I deleted mine a year and a half ago, then found out that it wasn't 'deleted' until I actually sent a request for it to be deleted and even then it took another 2 weeks just "in case I changed my mind".

Glad to be rid of it.

I use mine regularly to keep in contact with my relatives that are out of town (~30 minutes one way all the way to 9 hours by plane). I also use that and Skype to keep contact with other friends of mine around the country.
