Thanks for posting the top dog build it works great.

I use that one a lot too but with a STD-300 engine instead.Got enough room for +10 DHS's even with Endo-Steel installed. it's quite fun to use. Posted Image

Also, honorable mention to the Black Lanner-D. That thing is stupid fun to play as a backstabber, risky as heck but rewarding when it works.

Stock D-pods. 4x HMG's, 5x HSL, 2x SRM-4, 1 DHS. 2 tons of ammo each, or what weapon you feel needs more or less ammo.

Content warning because I'm having too much fun watching the queue get farmed.

Tried to do these in rough chronological order, and I left out the obvious EZ mode mechs like the Flea, Piranha, Vulcan , Grinner etc.

First real favourite was Vindaloo, laser vomit HBK IIC (Vindaloo because hot)

Posted Image

Then I learned about the tankiness of the MPL crab

Posted Image

And I think my first light mech, the classic Arctic Cheater, pre- mg nerf.

Posted Image

Back in the day, one of the best brawlers, 2LB10x Marauder.

Posted Image

Learned how to properly do laser vomit from godcopy. Still one of my alltime fav mechs.

Posted Image

Group Queue fav back in the day, Laser Vom MAD IIC

Posted Image

Another favourite mech that PGI murdered, MPL Linebacker

Posted Image

Fight Night with CWM favourite (Thought not with this loadout)

Posted Image

Watched Proton and learned the greatness of this mech, now it's vastly outgunned. 2AC5, 2AC2. How I learned to use ACs and run XLs in big mechs. Ugly *** paintjob but I'm keeping it this way lol

Posted Image

A GQ and FP constant, Laser Whammy

Posted Image

Learned how to Nova by watching Hark. Knife fighter is definitely better and way more fun now but I've got way more games played with the ER Med

Posted Image

Loved this thing before the ML quirk, even better after. The Moneyshot

Posted Image

It's a Gundam?!!
Posted Image

The only Heavy I play(ed) with much regularity, 2xUAC10, 1xERPPC Vanguard.

its pretty cool seeing how almost everyone has a different favorite mech. neat !!! im still bias towards clan mechs because its what i grew up with. I didnt know IS mechs existed until mechwarrior 4 (my ghetto comp couldnt get mechwarrior 3 working at the time).

COM-1B. It even has AMS (but no room for ammo). So fast, so resilient.
EDIT: Ammo-less AMS should be buffed to have one round in the chamber. Posted Image

Marauder IIC Scorch with 2 LBX 20 and 4 SRM 6. Just crushes other mechs in a brawl.

Jenners will always hold a special place in my heart. Having the JJ, one of if not the fastest speeds, up to 6 MLas, enough tonnage to play with, and enough armor to not explode if an assault looks at you funny was a combo that I fell in love with.

Fell off the game for a long, long time because of the monetization, but came back recently and finding out that Jenners have been power creeped has left me sad.

I'd like to revise my choice to the 2 LPL, 5 ERML, 7 ERMCROL Executioner. 72 point alpha, 90 kph with MASC, jump jetting knife-fighter with actually rather decent medium range poke. It's a beauty.

Give the Osiris a shot, 5ML @ 153kph with JJs is a fun run!

I gotta go with the Atlas.

I know it's not the best performer in the game, I'd say it's a mediocre assault at best (a fit for my mediocre skills). And I've always been disappointied that it never had a variant that could mount dual large ballistics. But, boy, it looks awesome. I am a fan of the atlas beyond MWO, so it was natural that I gravitate to it.

Some of my favorite memories of MWO have been in an Atlas:

1 - way back in the day, 8-man teams and groups were mixed with solos. I dropped solo on Forest Colony. There was a group on my team, can't recall who they were, but they had voice comms and I could only type. I, for some reason, pushed from the start, beyond the dropship out to the island. Here I waited because I, as a proper atlas, had only short rage weapons. Noticing that a bunch of the group was with me I typed "Ok, I'm ready to push whenever, just give me the go". They immediately responded: "ok go!". I turned the corner, full throttle. The whole enemy team opened up on me, but I pushed ahead and took the beating. My team followed in behind me and took care of business. I ran over a few of the reds along the way, and that was the winning push. I think I had 1 leg and most of a side torso left.

2- A few years go, group que, Frozen City Classic. Was in a mid sized group, and we decided to push the saddle. I came over the top and rand into 3 or 4 assaults along with their support. I kept going, dished out some damage and lead the way for our heavy hitters. Although I went down, the rest of my team cleaned up. I lead the pain train that day to a 12-1 victory.

3- Not that long ago, I was playing Caustic Valley. My play was average, nothing special, but I pushed on of their remaining assaults in the caldera. Was made it memorable was another player commented on the sight of an Atlas pushing thru the smoke, with it's glowing eyes appearing first, gunning down the opposing player. That left me what a great image. (Note: I didn't even get the kill.)

4- I got my ace of spades in my atlas. Mining Collective.

Atlas used to be King. It's not a terrible Assault as is, especially with MRMs backing up an AC-20, but it's been superceded.

IS:
BNC-3E with 2*HPPCs 2*AC5 and 2*ERML - absolutely my favourite mech in MWO. Picks a great punch at a decent distance, has some dps and can do headshots;
CTF-2X - MRM20+MRM30+LBX10+3*ML - that overquirked mech can do some insane stuff with that insane dps;
ZEU-9S with 2*HPPCs and 3 LL - abit squishy but still very fun to play. Not to mention cool looking with those Zeus-X like wings;
Clan:
Gar-A with UAC20 and 4 HML - great qurks, durability and mobility;
BKL with 6SPL+3ERmL+2MG+ECM - it is simply fun to play.
If we consider non MWO mechs - I'd add Anubis, Sha Yi and Lao Hu - I was really hoping to see those in MWO...
