Let's face it. Not everyone who has done something so stupid that they get the Darwin Award, although some guy in I think Arkansas did when he went sledding down the spillway of a dam.

Yesterday I was in a Hardware/Lumber store grabbing up a couple of flashlights that I wanted, and I made a special trip just to do so. In line ahead of my was a person who was purchasing three cans of paint, and three cans of stain and a plastic paint tray. The person then had a fit over the price of everything and wanted the 98 cent tray removed. At that point the clerk had to redo the purchase causing the person ahead of me to throw a bigger fit and threaten to burn down the building. When it was my turn I asked the clerk if they wished they had a rubber stamp that read "Moron" so they could just stamp the person's forehead so that everyone would know, and as a warning to others. The poor guy in line behind me almost cramped up from laughing.

Now I would be tempted to apologize, and I'm sure a Moderator might lock this thread down, but you have to admit, I'm speaking the truth - even if the truth is not "politically correct".

So I get in game here on MWO, and I speak into the Mike "Be sure and grab a Lance Formation award if you get the chance." Immediately at least five players take off in separate directions, at least one from each lance. Two minutes later, we were down five Mechs and the other team smelled blood.

So now we have this COVID and everyone starts thinking politics. If you wear as mask or not it means your on the far left/right, same thing for opening the country. COVID does not care which political party you are with, what race you are, or your religion. All it does is spread via opportunity. In the movies you see a large leathery egg and you just know that the first idiot to lean over the thing should have had the "Moron Stamp" because he's fixing to get the Darwin Award and maybe get a few other people killed. So we have a judge that declared stay at home unconstitutional so people flock to bars by the droves for a night of indulgence. So if you invest in a few body bags right now you just might make a small fortune.

The problem here is very simple. Most people do not have a survival mentality. Back in the 80's, a few survivalists stocked up on stuff like MRE's and after a bit of media sling being prepared for something bad like COVID: well there was something wrong with you and preparedness was considered a bad thing. The concept of "survival" was/is wrong. Facehugger/ COVID what's the difference? How many people or kids got hurt with the "Fire Challenge"? Common sense got thrown out the window several years back.

So you might want to keep said rubber stamp out of my hands right now because otherwise a lot of people are going to have a single word stamped on their forehead in blue permanent ink.

So to my fellow gamers, play it safe and Avoid ending up with the Darwin Award or on "Fail Army".

Be Safe: Game On

lance in formations are easy, play safe till half your lance dies (or at least the stragglers), hook up with the last guy, and kill stuff. i usually use a fast mech for this. as for the virus, just let evolution do its job.

Thanks for the advice on Lance Formations.

At least I got some frustrations taken care of when I turned a corner and had a guy start honking his horn at me. I hit the brakes and went around the corner, real slow.
