Oh yea Microprose. Had Gunship & Silent Service for the C64 in the 80´s. Especially Gunship was one of my favorite Games to that time.

Well, Microprose was a publisher like EA, and unlike EA they never went big.
Now it's just a brand without studios but if the new owner want to publish new games in the old niche of Microprose it could be interesting.
Paradox and Firaxis could use some competition
If "you old people" have a copy of "X-Com UFO Defence" or "Terror from the Deep" some where around: fans made a new engine for those games so you can enjoy it on modern PCs (and Macs, I-Pads, Android Tablets, Smart Phones, Smart Watches, Smart Fridges with Touchscreen running on Linux ).

It even looks o.k if you run Full HD or 4k with 1/2 or 1/3 of the screen for Geoscape & Battlescape in the settings, and you can get a load of mods for better or more content... like ripping of the anti grav devices from dead Floaters to build flying suits earlier... or new fighters with alien alloys, hover tanks with lasers or missles,...
