After a long break, MW5 has finally motivated me to think about returing to MWO.

I'm used to be a dedicated medium mech pilot, preffering playing IS over clans mechs. So what's the acutal meta currently?

Have stopped playing some time after Vaper Eagle was introduced. Any new medium mech that is a must have? What are the current meta weapons?

Whatever you wish (if you are good in it), barring LRMs probably.

Well, I do not know if the Dervish is a "must have" 'Mech, but some variants are quite useful and the Hero "Frenzy" is a solid 'Mech too.

I always liked SRM brawling, however reading in the forum I hit reg apperently didn't became better ;-)

Mediums running SRM or Medium Pulse Laser boats always give me a hard time. Lots of different mechs do that and they're all a giant pain in the butt to deal with!

The performance of your builds is likely to vary depending on your Tier. High Tier games seem to be getting shorter and less brawley. MPL Vulcan 5T is really good but may become less reliable at higher Tiers. Vapour Eagle A and 3 are good performers with the A becoming more difficult in higher Tiers (if outfitted as a brawler). Wolverine Q and 7 MRM builds are mini IV4s and can rack up damage but kills are tougher due to damage spread.

SRMs are still usable. Some people moved to MRMs.

Yeah, it is an OmniMech, so you can modify its armament easily.

Vapor Eagle is still viable in pretty much all the variants except the groundbound one.
