The Dark

Rated R

The movie begins with a nighttime scene o a cemetery during a storm, with one m,an hitting the bottle in grief, as another pair of armed men have an encounter with something hungry. The film then moves onto a pair of caretakers. As they comment about gophers a headstone drops into the ground, and then one of the grave diggers puts his foot into the ground. They discover a tunnel after they bring in an excavator. When an officer investigates the tunnel he becomes lunch, or rather supper. One man who believes there is a prehistoric creature down in the tunnels has himself placed inside a coffin in an attempt to capture the creature.

Not for kids. Violence. Language, brief nudity... The movie has a couple of scary moments and provides just another reason to stay out of cemeteries.
