Hello all, 1st time posting here.

I just installed MW5 Mercs from Xbox Game Pass. Despite every other axis, the hat and all buttons being recognized, the throttle slider isn't. I've tried the throttle fix that's listed at this forum, where this line

AXIS: InAxis=GenericUSBController_Axis4, OutAxis=Throttle_Axis1, Invert=TRUE, Offset=0.5, DeadZoneMin=-0.08, DeadZoneMax=0.08, MapToDeadZone=TRUE

is added at the end of the HOTASMappings.Remap file, but after accessing MW5 Control > Joystick and setting the Throttle axis to ThrottleAxis1, it still doesn't work.

I'm suspecting that MW5 just isn't reading the HOTASMappings file located in my "\users\username\AppData\Local\MW5Mercs\Saved\SavedHOTAS\" folder. I'd read on another forum that the XGP version uses a "\users\username\AppData\Local\Packages\PiranhaGamesInc.MechWarrior5Mercenaries_skpx0jhaqqap2\" folder, but I don't have any HOTASMappings file in that folder or any of its subfolders. I did manage to get to a point in the campaign where I could save and have confirmed that my games saves are being stored in a "\users\username\AppData\Local\MW5Mercs\Saved\SaveGames folder.

If anyone knows of a way to fix this, I'd appreciate knowing about it.

This is my C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\MW5Mercs\Saved\SavedHOTAS\HOTASMappings.Remap file. Lately I have only been using the THRUSTMASTER T.16000M Joystick and the slider works just fine for the throttle.

Are you using a text editor or notepad? Notepad saves everything as a TXT file if you choose 'Save As'. Go to Notepad ++ and try editing with that. It's a good text editor.
